Stuard Elementary: the Annetta-side campus
K–5 on Thunderhead Lane — the campus file, the feeder track, and what its zone means for an address decision.
The campus file
Stuard Elementary · K–5 · 200 Thunderhead Lane, Aledo (the Annetta side) · 817-441-5103 · school hours 7:40am–3:10pm · Principal: Katie Griffin. Enrollment has run in the mid-500s — one of the district's mid-sized elementary campuses — with a gifted-and-talented program on campus and academic performance rating above the state's same-grade average in independent reviews. Like every Aledo ISD elementary it feeds the district's single secondary track: on to McAnally or Aledo Middle by zone, then Daniel Ninth Grade and Aledo High.
What the address side means
Stuard's Thunderhead Lane location puts it on the district's southwestern, Annetta-side flank — the zone historically drawing from the acreage subdivisions and the communities south of the interstate. The practical note for movers: Aledo ISD has been rezoning as it grows (a growth committee reported to the board this spring), so the only zoning answer that counts is the district's current attendance-zone lookup for the exact address, checked the week you commit — the five-minute verification walked through in the school-zones guide. Renting into the zone: three-bedroom options in the district. Buying into it: the Aledo ISD buyer's file.
