Where the number bends
"Deposit alternatives" are not deposits. Some communities (Willow Crossing among them) offer services like Jetty — a non-refundable monthly or one-time fee in place of a traditional deposit. It lowers today's check but you never see the money again; a standard deposit usually comes back. Run both versions of this calculator before choosing.

Watch for add-ons. "Benefit packages," valet trash, and mandatory tech fees appear on some units as monthly line items. Ask for the full itemized monthly cost sheet too, not just move-in.
