What this site collects, why, and who else handles it — in plain language.
Effective October 20, 2026. West FW Living is an independent publication of Weaver Media Group. This page explains, in plain terms, what information this website collects, why, and who else handles it. It covers westfwliving.com only.
What you give us
Chat. The “Ask about the area” chat sends your messages to our server, which passes the conversation to Anthropic, an AI company, to write the reply. Our server does not save the conversation.
What is collected automatically
Where you came from. While you browse, a small script remembers the page you first landed on, the site that referred you, and any campaign tags in the link you followed (the “utm” tags). It keeps these in your browser’s session storage, which clears when you close the tab. They are not sent to us.
Google Analytics. This site uses Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-S6GWYFK54B) to count visits and see which pages are useful. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser (named _ga and _ga_S6GWYFK54B) and records things like the pages you view, how you arrived, your device and browser type, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. We see this as aggregate reports. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy. You can block these cookies in your browser settings or with Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on.
Web fonts. Pages load their typefaces from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google’s servers, which receive your IP address as part of that request.
Hosting. The site is hosted by Netlify, whose servers process standard request information, such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver pages.
Storage in your own browser
Besides the Google Analytics cookies above, the site stores a few small items in your browser that are never sent to us on their own: the session-storage record of where you came from (described above) and, on the move checklist only, which boxes you have ticked, so your progress is there when you come back. You can clear all of these by clearing your browser’s site data.
Who handles your information
- Anthropic receives chat messages to generate replies.
- Google provides Google Analytics and Google Fonts.
- Netlify hosts the site and runs the chat’s server function.
Each of these services handles data under its own terms. The site does not send your information anywhere other than the services listed here.
How we use it
We use Google Analytics reports to understand which pages and channels are working. West FW Living is a publication, not a real estate brokerage.
Your choices
To stop hearing from us, or to ask what we have from you or have it deleted, reply to any email we send you. The chat is optional.
Children
This site is written for adults who are renting, buying, or selling a home, and is not directed to children.
Changes
If what the site collects changes, we will update this page and its effective date.
